Obstacle Swim
The third competition day of the 68th World Military Pentathlon Championship featured the Obstacle Swim, one of the most technical disciplines of the championship. Athletes had to complete a 50-metre course while overcoming four obstacles in the shortest possible time.
The men’s competition was won by João Miguel (Brazil) in an outstanding time of 24.5 seconds, earning 1,168.0 points. Pascal Remmele (Germany) finished second in 24.7 seconds 1,163.2 points, with less than two-tenths of a second separating the top two athletes.
In the women’s competition, Alberte Forsberg (Denmark) claimed victory with a time of 28.1 seconds 1,165.0 points. Natalie Vaabengaard (Denmark) secured second place in 28.5 seconds 1,156.0 points, completing a dominant performance for the Danish team.
After three disciplines, the fight for the overall titles remains highly competitive. In the men’s overall classification, João Miguel (Brazil) leads the field with 3,402.5 points, taking a narrow advantage into the final two disciplines. In the women’s competition, Nadja Kimmel (Germany) moved into the overall lead with 3,352.9 points
The championship continues later this afternoon with the throwing event.
